π‘π»π in june i made my first zero waste project from the awesome Sewing without scraps book! itβs called the Scout short sleeve shirt, designed byΒ @decodecodecodeΒ and authored byΒ @miraipatternΒ πβ¨
i made a mistake laying out and cutting the pattern, which affected all the surrounding areas i then had to fix π also altered the hem and added slits to fit our bottoms :p
cute yellow bear fabric chosen by @wynlim from @fabricstories.sg π»π
this is such a clever and cool pattern that uses every bit of the fabric. the shirt was made in size S for @wynlim, i will probably try making other sizes in future, and something else with the same yellow bear fabric for myself in future π

in august i was taking the chance to post these pictures on our monthversary, shot on a trip in beautiful Langkawi when we were wearing our matchy set. thank You @wynlim for being the greatest source of inspiration, support and Life-in-its-totality πβ¨π
here are some progress shots of making the dress. (i shortened the dress bodice and skirt btw, cos iβm short!) this pattern is also from the wonderful Japanese sewing book Sewing without scraps β¨ panel dress designer:Β @birgittahelmerssonΒ β¨
i added in-seam zero waste pockets to the dress, with a clever and generous free pattern fromΒ @lizhaywood3754Β β¨
many thanks to all these talented creators in the world! π·ππ·
