βœ¨πŸŒΈπŸ’™ turning my old uniqlo leggings into new zero waste pants! πŸ’™πŸŒΈπŸŒˆ

these were my old fav pants from years ago, i loved the prints so much that i got a couple of them. but they are too tight for me now so i wanted to make them into new roomier pants, i’m so happy with how they turned out πŸ’™πŸ˜»πŸŒΈπŸ©΅

the pants pattern is from the Japanese sewing book Sewing without waste, authored byΒ @miraipattern, with the Scout Pants Zip Fly design by Danielle Elsener // @decodecodecode. Danielle is having a kickstarter campaign now btw, for a cool new zero waste pattern drafting book, please check it out if you’re into this kind of thing! πŸ§©πŸ’™βœ¨

it was my first time sewing a more fitted pants with a zip fly, and i learnt a lot from the blog ofΒ @lizhaywood3754Β where she detailed lots of tips on how to sew this project. i must have read it 3 times! i made mine in the largest LL&3L size, with a few adjustments such as adding a partial elasticated waist for a better fit πŸ’™πŸ₯‹πŸ’™
